We translate the principles behind the world’s thermic traditions into a modern, accessible North American practice. Not by copying the form, but by understanding why these traditions work and building from there. That work took shape over a decade of real-world practice — at the Hewing Hotel, with the 612 Sauna Society, and through the Great Northern Sauna Village — in guided sessions with real people, in real spaces. Each step shaped by the same question: why does this work, and how do we carry that forward into where we are now? It’s the same question we’re still answering.
